Papa's 50's Diner - Sierra Vista

I had the open-faced turkey sandwich for dinner, accompanied by mashed potatoes and gravy. It was outstanding! We opted for takeout.

We waited an hour to be served after placing our breakfast order. People who arrived after us were served and left before we even received our food. I had to ask for a coffee refill. Both chicken fried steaks were tough and gristly, and the grits were lumpy. I ordered my eggs cooked over medium, but the whites were runny. We didn't get our toast until we were halfway through our meal; it was only partially toasted, and I had to ask for butter.

My initial visit to the restaurant was rather disappointing. I waited for more than two hours for my meal, and when it finally came, it was ice cold.

The staff is fantastic and very accommodating. They serve classic diner food with generous portions. Definitely worth a visit!

The food here is excellent—always fresh and homemade. I love the decor, and the fact that they serve breakfast all day is a big plus for our kids. Definitely a must-try!
