All the food was really good, and was arranged on the plates with some thought. We ate the exotic chicken breast with a slice of pork and cheese on top, and a pineapple sauce. It came along with tasty rice mixed with chopped Vegetables (cooked together). We also ordered mushrooms with cheese, and they were 4 medium-sized whole mushrooms, each had melted cheese and fresh chopped tomatoes on top. They were the best looking dishes I've seen in the last 4 days in romania. We also ate 2 small and tasty sausages. The papanash for dessert was good as well. With one Ursus beer and mineral water, it cost us 48 lei, they didn't ask if we had a credit card, we paid cash. I truly recommend this place.
One of us ordered the snitel de pui - the breading and fry were perfect! Very tasty! The other ordered piept de pui "exotic" which was a pleasant surprise. She was worried about presentation and taste but was very happy with both.
Me, my husband and my 3year old were thrown out!! We ordered food and a fresh orange juice. The juice received was clearly not freshly squeezed. When asked about it, the very rude waitress brought me as proof a packet of juice with the brand name Fresh!!! Hearing the conversation, the family that was just sitting at the nearby table, got up and left. The waitress returned and asked us to leave because apparently WE drove off other customers! (Owner was aware of it as well). We could have gotten used to the strong smell of detergents or the stained tablecloths or the very blunt and boring menu, even to the fake fresh orange juice. We have traveled a lot and encountered service good and bad but never in my life has this happened to us. Just appalling and unbelievable!
Alas, Romania will never be a gastronomic heaven. This is another case in point. Choices are limited, the food is not exactly bad but very forgettable - but in all honesty, it was extremely cheap.
Raluca has a very nice and breezy terrace overlooking nice views of the city. We sat there many hours as the atmosphere was so relaxing.Food was really good and well made. Nothing fancy, but fresh with good ingredients. Also nice was the vegetarian food options as it is quite hard to find vegetarian food in Romania. Others ate pork and chicken which were really delicious too.
