Båthuset Krog - Sigtuna

I am staying in the area and our B&B host suggested this place. I was a little concerned when we arrived because it did have the touristy feel and we only speak English. Though the menu was only in Swedish, our waiter read through the short menu and helped us order to our taste. The food was excellent! Our table shared a veal dish which came with fries and peas, a beef filet and a cod dish. They were all delicious. We also had dessert which all came with local berries which were quite fresh considering it was winter. The only downside was the price, but most restaurants we have been to have been about $50 US per person on this was on par.

Small portions but really tasty food. You can feel that it is prepared with love and attention to detail. The waiter was also really nice and accomodating. View is also worth it!

Dinner was amazing. Had 3 courses and each one was full of delicious flavor and had beautiful presentation (pictured is the featured cut . The staff were all wonderful and the ambiance of being right on the water was so nice (you could even feel the restaurant moving with the waves! Only wish I wasn’t just here visiting otherwise I’d come here all the time :
