It specializes in catering bigger groups, with open buffet, but can also serve individual customers. It has been recently expanded and modernized, with some...small local farming museum and wine shop added. Good local cheeses for starters, soups and local daily fishes are offered. Meats are very simple, can be skipped. All in all, simple, authentic local food.
A delicious spread. the thunfish was very fresh. the pork-trotter-stone melted in the mouth. bark stew and salat. good service and delicious food.
We had watched a busy morning whale and when we were back on the land, it was good after lunch and much too early for dinner, but we were hungry! Luckily we found lavrador; the personal encourages us to come and stay while they prepare for the evening. we enjoyed wonderful tappas, weeping, fresh fish and the best rice pudding ever!
As part of our organized tour we stopped here for lunch. While it was a buffet lunch, eating was hot, fresh and quite delicious. there was a large selection of food, including suppe, salad, vegetables, meat and fish. the highlight for me was the...rice pudding. it was covered with cinnamon and tasted as if it just came out of that. the service was very friendly and all seemed happy that we joined the afternoon. in addition, the restaurant has a beautiful sea view and is bright and airy.
Beautiful place. Top-notch food. the maisbrot was a tasty bite for our gluten-free traveling. the local honey should die. the alcohol after dinner were a joy, and the chicken soup was the best we ever had. we were taken there. by goncalo of azores now.
