El Sapo Cuban Social Club

I’ve been to this restaurant twice now and have had a great experience both times. Very conscious of food allergies and delicious food and mojitos.

Quickly became my favorite place...signature mojitos are HITTIN’ when they don’t pre make it in batches

My family and I loved it! I had a large party of 12 people and while I probably won’t have that large a party at this restaurant again—the staff at el Sapo managed to get all of our orders sorted out. This restaurant is for a more intimate bunch for sure and not really the best location for large parties. That said, the food tasted good, my toddler son ate well despite there not being a kids’ menu and I was appreciative of the fact that the entrees were “kid friendly.” I’ll definitely be going back with no more than 5 or 6 other people!

This was a welcomed vibe, reminding you of an evening in South Florida. The food was fabulous and the signature drink (mojito), probably the best I've had.

Headed to a movie at the AFI Silver, we decided to try El Sapo based on current great reviews. We hoped that going a bit early would be less noisy. The music was loud, but overall not as bad as expected. I imagine it becomes a real din when the place is full. I guess it 's part of the emphasis on a party atmosphere. In any case, the host and servers were engaging and efficient. The menu is compact but the food was very good. Being pescatarians we tried the cod fritters, manchego and peppers, fried plantains and salmon, all of which were well-prepared and flavorful. Great salsa with the plantains. The mojitos were on the sweet side, but well-balanced with lime.
