Not to mention the mango mojitos and the wonderful tres leches (the best I've ever tasted! I recommend this restaurant to everyone! The service was great! It was a wonderful treat! Can't wait to go back again.
We have been living the in the Wheaton/Kensington area for the last five years and it is nice to finally have a NICE/FANCY restaurant to go for dinner. The sea bass was quite good and the service was great...they don 't short change you on the wine either : . If you live in the Wheaton area and are tired of having to go all the way to Bethesda or Silver Spring for a fancy dining experience , you now can go to the Pearl. Give it a try!
Pearl Seafood Restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience. Located in the newly revitalized Wheaton Triangle Restaurant District, you will be surprised to find upscale yet comfortable New York/Miami style atmosphere and dining experience. Diners will be equally impressed by the quality of the assorted seafood dishes. We began our meal with appetizers and tappas. We shared the ample serving of Fried Calamari which was light and tender and served with a spicy red sauce and a cilantro green sauces. It was enough for 2 and a real bargain at $8.00! Then we enjoyed the Chile Piquillo Relleno, pepper stuffed with whole crabmeat atop corn sauce and cilantro sauce. For entrees my favorite thus far has to be the roasted sea bass. My dining companion enjoyed his large portion of shrimp scampi and crab cakes, served with Catalan style spinach and coriander sauce. The shrimp were large and the crab cakes were lush and plentiful with whole lump meat crab. For dessert I had the passion fruit creme brulee and my companion savored the coconut cake with citrus coulis and pineapple candy. The service staff was friendly and courteous. Anyone looking for an upscale option and a menu that won't disappoint should give this place a try.
