The restaurant has recently turned into a multi-course meal, but the dishes are inventive and especially delicious. The scallops were probably the best I ever had. The duck pavilion was also wonderful. The mushrooms and caramelized end dishes were delicious and inventive vegetable dishes. The desert was rich and sweet, but also perfect end to a wonderful meal. Each court was beautifully presented, they were artworks in their own right. The service was exceptional and friendly. Taking this place is just a few minutes walk from my house I will finally go back. I can't praise how they were. Not that there was something wrong. For a restaurant with 8 years they have everything to the close perfection. This is a hidden leak near the border of Silver Spring and DC, and it is worth checking. The only nit, and it is a small, is some of their cabins need to repair the seats. Otherwise the interior was beautiful, colorful and funky.
Since the opening in Sidebar, and between my wife and I we were eight or ten times at Jackie, but all for private functions. Last weekend was the first time we visited the dining room and ordered from the menu. It was fantastic. Rockfish share seemed 4oz or so (which smaller than your Blah chain restaurant share, but perfectly plated, of perfect quality and tasty. They did great things with my wife's BBQ chicken. We went over the road to Moorenko to dessert, so I'm afraid I can't talk about it. Your cocktails never disappoint; I had dozens on that point and they were all right. Service was immaculate (thanks, Robin!). Go. You won't regret it.
Went here with the woman earlier this month and we had a great experience!!! It was a Monday night and the roasted chicken meal exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed some of the comedy show next to the sidebar and had drinks that were unique and packed a stamp. In total, we were there for five hours, which is the longest I ever spent in a restaurant while I enjoy. My only handle is that the restaurant does not extend this experience during the rest of the week. In addition to Monday dinner / evening happy hour and Sunday afternoon brunch, the rest of the week offers only small tasteless overpriced serving plates in the restaurant that leave you with an empty stomach. I hope the owner reads this review as I do not speak for me when I say that the energy/atmosphere should be expanded on Monday evening in the week to draw more people. The dinner/drink menu on Monday is a highlight of the Silver Spring!!!!
Last night for the first time for drinks and appetizers, and had a great time. Originally it went to Sidebar, but it was closed for a private function so went to the restaurant. Ordnete her specialty Manhattan and her turn of the Century gin martini. Very good drinks. Also ordered their truffle cheeseries, boneless reserve ribs and some Maryland oysters. All excellent and good service at the bar. I'll be back.
Great dining experience. Got to the place 5 minutes early before opening, and still got service. Very nice and clean interior. Sat at the bar, the bartender Paul was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable of the food and drinks. Apps, main course, and dessert were very good, especially for the price. I'm not from DC, but if you are from this area or staying at a hotel nearby, I highly recommend this place.
