The Deere Run Grille - Silvis

The golf course is expansive with a fantastic layout. The fairways are fast and roll out nicely, even after some substantial rain. The greens were indicated to be at 10.5 on the speedometer, but they played a bit slower than that; however, they were in excellent condition and rolled very true. The bunkers were well-maintained and strategically positioned throughout the course.

It's worth noting that the course wasn't in peak condition, as it was still early in the season. The cart paths sometimes made it difficult to navigate, and there were moments when I realized I had chosen the wrong club for a shot. The greens were slower than what I anticipated, but that can be attributed to the early spring conditions. The course layout is enjoyable, featuring some incredibly picturesque views of the Rock River. My friends and I have already started planning our 1100-mile round trip to return later in the season. Overall, it was a truly delightful experience.

This course offers incredible value for your money. There aren't many places where you can actually play a PGA tournament course at such a reasonable price. I absolutely love it and play there as often as possible when I'm in town. The course is quite challenging, especially around tournament time. If you find yourself in the rough, it's best to forget about trying to use your wedge to reach the green and just accept that you'll have a tough time; otherwise, this course will definitely give you a run for your money!

Course was Amazing and in beautiful shape. The staff were a lot of help and very friendly. Will definitely be back.
