Another customer left while we were waiting. After my wife finished playing hockey, we waited for the server to take our food order. When they finally returned, they informed us that they would not honor their Sunday special of a pint and pound. The manager came over and was very rude when we ordered the wrong beer according to him. The menu did not specify which beer we had to order to receive the wings, which we had been ordering without issue since the beginning of September. When we received our bill, there was an extra beer and some food items that we did not order. The server became defensive when we pointed out the mistakes, and she even forgot to charge another couple for their food. We refused to pay for the items that were not ours and explained that there was no excuse for the rude service and mistakes. The owner of the restaurant should be more attentive to what is happening in their establishment. The manager's behavior was very disrespectful and the Sunday women's teams who visit after their games will surely be tired of experiencing the same poor service and maintenance.
Waited 30 minutes on a Sunday night and no server yet to ask if they could get us something. we were there to watch hockey and wanted to eat some drinks and something.
With friends. server so slow we almost went. only 2 other tables occupied, but server concentrated on the table with a group of young men exclusively.
Terrible. 25 min waited for drinks, in that 25 min employees forget 1⁄2 of what we ordered. then waited over 90 minutes for our food, last came 20 minutes to the others, and was a simple (and bland) Quesadilla,...so not rocket science for the kitchen. absolutely useless staff. don't waste your time.
I am amazed at how delicious the food has become at Simcoe House! Ever since it changed ownership, every dish I have tasted there has been outstanding. The portion sizes are generous and the flavors are rich. I highly recommend trying the white wine and garlic cream mussels (especially on Mondays when they are only $8) and the heavenly butter chicken. The fish tacos are also phenomenal. Although the service may be slow, the delicious food makes it all worth the wait!
