Campingplatz Haumühle - Simmertal

Camping under the stars never felt so great! The friendly welcome and spacious area for camping made for a great start. Some areas even contained a fire pit, perfect for roasting marshmallows and telling stories about ghosts. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly and equipped with beautiful hot water. However, road traffic was a bit loud because trucks are fighting the mountain road. It wasn't often, but when it happened, it woke me up. On the other side of the campsite there was a party center with loud music and singing. It looked like they had a great time with beer tents and festival style activities. I had expected a flight from crowd and noise to enjoy some nature. While it was not a terrible experience, it was simply not what I expected. But I can't just give up, so I probably try to come back. The mountain bike trails looked great and I am excited to give them an attempt. If you are looking for a peaceful camping experience, I recommend avoiding the camping party site, but if you are looking for a bit of fun, you have an explosion!

We were here 6 nights in December. Despite growing weather beautiful. Beautiful area for hiking. Ute, Benno and the entire staff super friendly and cordial. The restaurant is top. A small paradise for campers with dog.
