The waitress informed us that they were ahead on the reservation list, but she also pointed out that they were French, which we thought was completely irrelevant. It shouldn't matter where someone is from; reservations should be honored based on arrival time. We don’t understand why guests who arrive late were prioritized over those who had been waiting. It’s frustrating to be left waiting for 45 minutes without any communication. The management clearly lacks basic skills in handling reservations. The food might be great, but I’m not interested in finding out after this experience.
This is a fantastic spot for tasty French breakfast crepes and galettes, as well as dessert crepes! It’s a wonderfully charming and cozy bistro. We love visiting here on weekends.
Delicious food and a charming atmosphere make this restaurant ideal for date night or a casual outing with friends. The staff were very friendly, too. However, all our cups and plates were disposable, which is not very environmentally friendly.
Only have been here two times, each time being excellent! The ladies that run this little joint are so nice and attentive. The menu is pretty decent size for a smaller breakfast/lunch spot. The first time I went, I got the strawberry Nutella crape and it was super yummy and filling. The second time around I got the mozzarella panini and a peppermint mocha iced coffee. The inside seating was totally filled up but we got the whole outside patio to ourselves! It wasn't too hot because it's covered and there was a nice breeze. I definitely recommend trying it just once if you're in Simpsonville for breakfast.
Authentique French Creperie is located in Simpsonville, SC. It's been on my list of places to try for a while. I had the opportunity to try it with two of my family members. Authentique is only open Friday through Sunday. It is such a cute place. It's not very big, but would be ok for one to four people to dine. The inside is bright and cheerful with the table tops being an aqua/turquoise color. They have a nice selection of breakfast, brunch and lunch items. The lady's there are so nice, and I love their French accent. Today we came for a light dessert, I got the La Charlotte and my niece got the La Chocolat. The Charlotte is a crepe with sliced strawberries, powdered and crystal sugar and Chantilly cream. La Chocolat was a crepe with a chocolate drizzle, dusted in powdered sugar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Let me tell you presentation is everything, and they do it well with those crepes. I really enjoyed my crepe, and plan on coming back to try lunch.
