This restaurant served wide variety of food, other than their signature porridge, they also served noodles, fried stuffs too. Food wasn’t as salty as other outlets, however, it was still on the salty side for the porridge. The Hor Fun was good. Costed over $70, for 4 dishes, for 4 people. Maybe will be going back again soon.
Decent cozy chinese restaurant. We were given a big booth seat behind the cashier counter. Very spacious and comfortable. Sad thing was we were sandwich in between 2 noisy groups.. argh! The menu selection is great. There's a wide range of porridge and many other dishes. Dried Scallop porridge with Minced meat with Century egg, Salted egg and Egg: Was served piping hot in a claypot. The porridge was amazingly, lots of ingredients and good for 2.. very tasty! Deep Fried Prawn Roll: Crispy on the skin, soft fillings chestnuts inside. This is very nice! 1 bite and we just go hmmmmmm . I like it with chilli more than the given sweet sauce. Omelette with Tomato and Prawns: Served last after we finished the other items. The only item we all dont really like. Its like omelette drenched in ketchup with some tomato chunks and prawns. This item not worth trying, imo. Mayb for parents with small kids. The place is abit warm, so i gave up eyeing for the tea in pot (serves 2) and ordered lemon tea instead. Hmmm, not the kind of homemade lemon tea.. more similiar to those Season's type.. Service was good! The lady who served us is polite nice. She gave us additional menu after she saw us sharing. She also did a recommendation for the promo fried fish. Total for 3 items and 1 drink was $55+. Slightly pricey.
Great food served here! The porridge selection is great and also offers a lot of other dishes which are wonderful to the palate and the stomach. The salted egg dishes are excellent especially the salted egg pumpkin which totally kicks off everything. The noddle dish was ok, but it helped to provide the smoothness after the porridge meals. Overall, well recommended.
Colleagues and I went there for lunch. It is very crowded however the staff who is serving us is not very friendly. I went to other outlets before and they were so nice. The food is delicious every time. The price is mid range. The liu sa bao is so yummy. Porridge and clay pot rice are their signature and taste great too. Each pax is expected to spend around $20-30.
Set lunch for 5 pax, 1 fried rice, 2 porridge (didn't manage to take photo) and some side dishes.. Side dishes were of small portion.. too little for 5 pax and it didn't help when they served 1 dish at a time , before the rice and porridge were served. The plates were emptied before the next dish was served. Friendly staff and place was quite busy during lunch hours. Overall good quality is good
