My 鸡尾饭 (chicken rump meat rice) cost 3.50sgd and I don’t find the chicken thin or stale. I liked the rice they served the chicken with where you can taste the grains (not mushy or broken), well-flavoured. At 8pm when I bought it before the store closed, it was still very tasty. Food is generally expensive in Punggol because of high rental. So I think the price is reasonable. The larger portion of 鸡尾饭 is 4.30sgd. Their taugeh (beansprouts) are nicely seasoned and is crunchy without tasting raw. The stall people here are friendly and would joke with customers and I always get served very quickly as they are well-staffed. They gave us a large bowl of soup to go with our two orders. Only thing is, sometimes I wish they would remove the bones from my meat because I’m lazy to deal with bones and I know some chicken rice stalls would do it without asking. I also eat their curry chicken noodles when I’m lazy to go Hong Lim hawker for their curry mee. I always cannot finish the curry noodles here because it’s so filling. Curry is decent, quite savoury, thick and relatively lemak. Spicy enough to give some heat. Only thing is, like most curry chicken noodles, there’ll be some oil floating on your noodles. Not for those who are avoiding hot and greasy food.
Half chicken with 2 rice $17.50. Food court price... very thick Chili that is to our liking! The Hainanese chicken supposed to be chilled (so that the chicken skin can be jellified) and the skin just melts in your mouth. Nice big carrot in the soup... u can also choose if want to add chicken feet into the soup! Great dinner option... by 6pm the chicken like sold out already... Heard of the bad review of the bean sprout that's why didn't order the bean sprout...
