Macpherson Bbq Seafood - Singapore

I cant give a bad review for good cheap eats and it was located next to the place where I stayed at in SG. Came here on a rainy day... and if you're in SG you know all about the rain problems... it always rain. I was hungry and came here since it was located next door to me. Indoor and out door seating. A great variety on their menu and price point was great. I ordered the lemon chicken with lime juice. I notice this place is popular during lunch time with locals. It is ok. Convenient if you work nearby. Tried the BBQ stingray and egg with rice. The fish is fresh and the egg nicely fried. The chilli is nice but the taste doesn't get into the fish. I guess it is just coated in top of the fish after the fish is cooked. It gets really busy at peak lunch hour though. So come early or late.

Pure comfort food within the city with some good bbq stingray going for $5+ that comes with rice and a fried egg, what joy! Another one of my favourite is their sweet and sour pork. It's sweet, it's sour and it's crispy! If you want Stingray yet not too sure about whether you can take the spiciness, ask them to have the gravy on the side so that you can dip however much you want, based on your own preference. Crowded during lunch so for an enjoyable meal, try dinner instead. For those who are particular about smelling like BBQ meat after a meal, take the seats outside instead of within the shop. :

I ate here a few times a month when i was working nearby, there is always a good lunch crowd. The BBQ Stingray is okay. My guess is that the sauce is just laced on top, at times it's just not BBQ long enough. I believe this is to reduce the waiting time.
