I made a reservation through Chope for brunch. The restaurant is spacious, but it felt a bit warm despite having indoor air conditioning. I tried the iced mocha, which was delightful. I wasn't very hungry, so I chose the eggs with sourdough, while my friend had the big breakfast. The service was quick.
The service was outstanding. The staff responded promptly to our requests, including when I asked them to reheat the bread. They were always friendly. We were there for some drinks and snacks, and I really enjoyed it. The bread was soft and made a perfect complement to the deli items. I will definitely return for a proper meal!
As for the food, it was fairly good. I particularly loved the rotolo pasta; the cheese filling was perfectly balanced and creamy, complemented by a bright tomato sauce—simple yet comforting. The crispy roasted pork had skin that could have been a bit crispier, but the accompaniments and presentation were impressive. The lobster mac and cheese and the dip platter were less impressive, especially the tzatziki—I'll opt for the cheese platter next time instead. For dessert, we went with the flourless chocolate cake, which was a safe but satisfying choice. The total bill came to $142 for four people, and I wasn't pleased with the $8 charge for water. That said, I would definitely return for a casual get-together, even if it's on the pricier side.
