I’m not familiar with India food, but food is really nice!
On a recent weekday evening, the restaurant was comfortably full with just a couple of empty tables. The décor is tastefully designed, exuding the charm of a classic Indian fine dining establishment, and the space is quite generous with ample distance between tables. I particularly enjoy the dining areas by the wall, which are cozy niches that offer a bit of privacy. We began our meal with the tandoori milawat, a delightful assortment of kebabs served on a sizzling plate. They were so delicious that they whetted our appetite, prompting us to order tandoori chicken as well. For our main course, we had a bread basket with butter chicken. I must highlight the bread basket—the paratha was incredibly soft and fluffy, delicious enough to enjoy on its own! The butter chicken was good, but not exceptional. The house red wines, with two options, paired quite well with our meal; one was a bit lighter than the other. Their wine selection is extensive; on a previous visit, we ordered a bottle of Chianti that was quite nice. For dessert, we opted for rasamalai and kulfi, but since we were so full, we couldn’t fully appreciate them. The service was good but not outstanding—it was hit or miss, with some staff members being exceptional while others seemed a bit unmotivated. However, they were attentive enough when we needed anything. I believe the management could improve service in line with their fine dining status. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely return for the atmosphere and the food. The standout dish that I highly recommend is the tandoori paratha!
Food: 4 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Value for money: 3.5 stars Worth a try: 4 stars
This restaurant is one of the most highly regarded Indian establishments in Singapore, and it certainly lived up to those expectations during our recent visit. The food was outstanding, with the starters—especially the pani puri and paneer skewers—being particularly delicious. The main course was also enjoyable, with the chicken dish being a highlight. The desserts were simple yet delightful. What truly sets this place apart is the free flow of food, making it an excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient, attending to our needs promptly, even if they didn't engage in much conversation. I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant.
