Living in Switzerland but from the USA. We were in Germany for the day and found this on trip advisor. Our Mongolian Buffet back home is one of the things we have been missing most. This was fantastic. A great value for the money, lots of selection, and you could leave your food for the grill and they would bring it out to you. Besides the grill, there was a good selection of cold and warm foods, sushi, and desserts. Happy Garden is a very big place. We made a reservation 30 minutes before we showed up, but they probably have 60-70 tables, so there was plenty of room even though they were still very busy.Trying to find a time that we can head back.
Went there on a Saturday evening and although we were seated at the last empty table, the service was very attentive and expedited our wishes. The variety of the buffet is amazing and all types are constantly replenished. The food quality is correct and only slightly spiced, fitting European tongues. Seafood is also freshly prepared, which is nice to look at and also of good quality. Fair pricing classifies this restaurant also for families, but reservation is recommended on weekend evenings.
I have been to the Happy Garden in Singen Germany, although I live in Switzerland, almost once a month. I have taken guests from India, Germany, Switzerland and England to have meals here and everyone is absolutely in awe of the choice of food you get at the buffet dinner. The price is extremely reasonable and you really get your monies worth. This is a place to go to with friends and relatives and the atmosphere is very casual and informal. The food is very tasty but I can’t even begin to encounter how many different types of Chinese, Japanese and Mongolian dishes you can choose from or have all of them if you can manage. What I don’t like is that a lot of food is wasted by “eyes bigger that the appetite” I feel that you can go up to the buffet tables 10 times if you choose to but why on earth fill your plate to the brim and waste half. As I am from India I know what it means not to have enough to eat, although luck has it that I have never had to starve, but many do and it is not fair for people to waste food and then it is thrown away. This has nothing to do with the Restaurant but with some of the guests who feel I have paid and can waste. The service is excellent and most of the waiters and waitresses are Chinese. Food is always piping hot and always enough of it. By the way you even have a choice of puddings with your buffet dinner or lunch.
Tu e selection is rather large when it com a to cool d food and salads, it is rather unpleasant to see that fat on the trays. Regarding the raw meats available, they are labelled but there are not enough utensils to pick them, so...flavours get mixed. Good selection or drinks but nothing to write home about.
