Palácio - Sintra

I expect the Palace Caffe does most of its business from tourists waiting to get their train back to Lisbon, as that was certainly the case with us. We had a quick sandwich and a coke here; the place seemed to be a simple no-frills diner, but the service was fast and the meal cheap (11 Euros for two of us), so there's little to complain about here. Nothing special, but a decent time waster when waiting for a train.

We stopped into this place while waiting for our tour bus. The host/waiter was rude and impatient. The cafe is located right next to the train station so you’d think they’d be better equipped to handle tourists. The food was hardly worth it. Go into the center for better treats and far better service.

Grab a quick beer in the later afternoon. It's a sun trap worth sitting in for a spot of people watching. It's facing the station in Sintra.
