Tasca Do Xico - Sintra

The Portuguese Salad was fresh and excellent. The service was excellent I was very impressed with the help our server offered my friend with dietary restrictions. He helped her find the perfect dish for her. Joad was top Notch. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Sintra.

During my little trip to Lisbon, I took a day trip to Sintra to see the Castle of Moors and Pena Palace. Regular trains run from Lisbon Rossio station to Sintra, and then there are circuit bus routes that take you from the Sintra station to the hilltop. Castle of the Moors. After a whole morning of walking (and a bit of a hike), I went back to the town centre of Sintra to find a spot for lunch. There quite a few options available by the main roads but I got the impression that they could possibly be tourist traps. So I decided to wander off into the colorful cobbled streets of Sintra to find alternatives.

The food here was amazing! Definitely worth it. Downsides was that we had to wait a while to get it, and the service was patchy. When serving us they were nice but when not they forgot certain things we asked for and neglectful a little bit. Otherwise it was great and worth the food!

Restaurante tranquilo, atendimento muito rápido, garçons prestativos, responderam às nossas dúvidas. O polvo estava fantástico, o bacalhau do Xico era diferente e delicioso. A sangria terminou a refeição perfeitamente.
