des Châteaux - Sion

We find this restaurant in trip advisor and we cane here to have a wonderful family dinner, but the fondue was horrible also the service. In end we had to pay the big bill and no one happy. I have to add we wanted to order the desert but after main dish we didn't

We felt cheated, Sion is a beautiful place, and so the restaurant. The location was great but the service since we arrived was very poor, they wouldn't recommend us anything in the menu, and when we asked a Fondue to share between 2 they said they couldnt do that (when all other restaurants can).

Small restaurant with good service and really good food. Pheasant was delicious as was the tartar de cerf.

This restaurant is my absolute favorite in Sion and maybe the entire Valais region. A friendly, traditional yet not overdone atmosphere with friendly service set perfect surroundings for their signature Chateaubriand, a selection of exquisite seasonally changing menus and of course their Cheese Fondue variations, which include the traditional fondue but also tomato, green pepper and mustard versions. The green pepper cheese fondue is a special treat!Reservations are more than just recommended!

Had a dinner for three in Restaurant Cafe de Chateaux. Nice cozy restaurant in the old city of Sion, about 15 tables, pleasant, bistro type, relaxing atmosphere. Very friendly welcome of the staff.Ordered chateaubriand and turbot fillet with a bottle of Petite Arvine wine, 3 delicious deserts and espressos. Excellent food, paid 250 Swiss franks for three persons, worth the money. A very enjoyable evening. Recommended.
