In a local restaurant that is excellent for vegetarian South Indian restaurants, we stumbled on a compact restaurant and a bar, durga lunch home, not far from the train station matunga. in contrast to the expectations it was not dimmy illuminated, with quite bright lighting over every table. as a 50-year jubilee of outlets, they had a few goodies, reduced prices on drinks and 5% off on the food store when they upload a supplement to instagram or check-in on facebook. I decided to use the former food estate. After searching through the huge menu, we opened our innings with a few whiskeys and prawns in red sauce. the seafood was an absolute pleasure, I ranked it to the best I ever had. the juicy garnels, the spicy sauce and the grated cheese all made for a brow of a starter. next was chicken israel, in white sauce. it was on the sweeter side, so can not be palate for everyone, but I loved it, something of a discovery for me, sweet meat in white sauce. the paprika and paprika, which garnished the dish, were especially well cooked, as well as juicy. then followed chicken teriyaki, one of the proven chicken variants, and it was up to the mark. while the amount was not as much as expected, it was tastefully flawless, the viscous dark sauce worked its magic on the meat. our last order was chicken bullet, serve a spicy, flaming, with a sauce that I felt very similar to that used for the garnels. it turned out to be another winner, and I was more than happy to beat beyond my share, as my friend felt too full to take more. Summing up then, durga lunch home is a hidden gem in, what is a schatz trove, matunga central. the fact that it existed for 50 years in an antidote that I have visited my whole life and yet I have never known how undetected it is. according to my opinion, it is not quite cheap, but they get a very loud bang for their buck, be it eat or drink. the service is fast and helpful when too time a touch is over-enhusiastic. the waiters are occasionally right next to the table, I hope they will be better trained in the future to give the customers their private sphere. even if some desserts are added to the menu, then this restaurant will be a one-stop shop for a full meal. I must be back soon to try the other delicacies on the expansive menu.
