Crookhaven Inn - Skibbereen

Not appetizing. The food lacks flavor and attention to detail, such as undercooked bacon in the sandwich. This restaurant seems to cater more towards tourists.

On Tuesday evening, we docked in the harbour and decided to dine at the Crookhaven Inn. The restaurant was fully booked, but we were able to secure a table at the bar. We enjoyed a delicious meal and received excellent service. The menu had a great selection to choose from, and we highly recommend trying the crab claws before leaving.

My family and I went to this restaurant on Easter Tuesday evening after struggling to make a reservation over the phone or online. I eventually had to visit the restaurant in person to secure a table. The restaurant is small, cramped, and has a quirky atmosphere. Despite the limited table space, the food and staff were excellent. The menu may not cater to all tastes, but the dishes we tried were delicious. The main issue was the rude gentleman at the neighboring table who was loud, vulgar, and constantly swearing in front of his family and staff. This behavior was embarrassing, especially with tourists nearby. Although this was not the restaurant's fault, it significantly affected our dining experience. Unfortunately, I would not choose to return due to this unpleasant encounter.

4 of us had lunch here, having last visited many years ago. We came for the Seafood Chowder and it didn't disappoint it was delicious and is highly recommended. The desserts were also fantastic, I had the orange polenta which was amazing the coffee was great too. The service was excellent. Don't miss it if you're lucky enough to be in the area.
