The Chateau - Skipperville

Very close to Holiday World. Worth the trip to. The service is excellent. Although it was busy and they told me that anything other than the buffet was a 45 minute wait, they still convinced me to try the pork tenderloin sandwich I really wanted. It was delicious. Very hometown feel which is nice. Rest of my family said the buffet was excellent.

Food was OK. Service was OK. Our waitress took our order and then she must’ve left for lunch. A waiter refilled our drinks. No one ever asked us if the food was good. We ordered sandwiches that were supposed to come with potato chips and we each ordered a side of either french fries or onion rings. They did not give us potato chips, but also did not give us a discount on the onion rings or french fries. Given the price we paid, and the service we were provided, we will not return. If we’re in the area again, we’ll find another place for lunch.

The roast beef was delicious and tender no knife needed. We had a bus load service was great. ?

The food was great. The service was fantastic. I tried to find fault somewhere and couldn't find even 1 thing I didn't like. I wish we had a place like this back home. Kid-friendliness: Family style restaurant with kid menus. Very kid friendly.

Looked like a nice place, but that's the only nice thing I have to say. Found a hair in my cheesesteak on the first bite. A server that was not ours asked me why I hadn't eaten. I asked for the food to be taken off the bill and she seemed perturbed that I did not want a replacement. No one checked on us again after that, not even a water refill. Maybe it was an off night but geez.
