Abbots Harbour Licensed Cafe - Skipton

I've walked by this charming cafe/restaurant several times, but I never realized it was only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Fortunately, we stumbled upon it this Sunday during our walk along the canal to Gargrave. It was clearly a popular spot, and we were not disappointed with the quality of the food. From the outside, it may appear small, but that's deceiving—the interior is much larger than we anticipated! We would definitely recommend it.

Transformed from a historic holy site once managed by monks, this restaurant features beautifully converted former donkey stables. Fortunately, we happened to walk by again this Sunday while strolling along the canal to Gargrave. It was definitely a popular spot, and we were impressed by the quality of the food. Although it looks quite small from the outside, it's surprisingly spacious inside. We would definitely recommend it!

With the lovely weather, we decided to enjoy another cup of tea along with some desserts outside. I must say, the desserts were fantastic: a rich, thick apple pie, a zesty lemon meringue, and a delightfully light raspberry roulade, all beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly as well. We will definitely be returning; this place is a true hidden gem!
