Restaurant Lurleen's - Slacks Creek

Our waitress was clearly inexperienced which didn't get us off to a great start and as we all know first impressions count.As for the food entrees presented with scallops that weer not translucent and the accompanying pork belly was under cooked. This thankfully was the only criticism on the food, but when you are in this price bracket this is simply not acceptable.The wine we ordered was brought out and placed close by whilst she attended to another table then brought it over 10 mins later. We then had to ask for a top up most times until we got sick of it and poured ourselves. She then snapped into action saying that she had to do it. Delivery of the message was not her strong point.The steaks we ordered were cooked superbly and the kids meals got polished off super fast and with big grins.At this price point everything should be spot on, simply not good enough

My husband and I have made our lunch at Lurleen's our wedding anniversary tradition. We love the food, we are always made to feel so very special by the staff and we go home every year more in love. Thank you Lurleen's xxx

Just terrific and Tessa was our server - she was wonderful! What was better the Eye Fillet, View, Tessa or the atmosphere?? All of it was excellent and the nicest place to celebrate a birthday, wedding or anniversary.Food was delicious and we enjoyed EVERYTHING. If you get the opportunity to go to Lurleen's go and enjoy you won't be disappointed. A

This is a great place to go for special occasions. Great food and service with a lovely outlook over the bush.

I wrote my full review under Sirromet winery page. Basically not recommended for dinner at all. The food was very very average but the service is good. The wine also is average and overpriced.
