I waited in line for quite a while on a Friday night, but there were only three employees working hard. The drink selection is extensive, but the food options are somewhat limited. However, the food was definitely worth the wait. The atmosphere is fantastic, and you can stroll down to the creek behind the restaurant to pass the time.
I can’t praise this place enough. The food quality, beer selection, whiskey options, cocktail menu, staff, and atmosphere are all outstanding. The staff recommendations for the bourbon and rye flights are both excellent, or you can customize your own whiskey flight. They consistently introduce new and exciting items to the food menu. Taco Tuesday is a highlight, and the vegan options are impressive—better, in my opinion, than the non-vegan tacos. I can’t understand why more people aren’t flocking here. Take a break from Miguel’s and Redpoint and enjoy a meal and drink at Hop's; you won’t regret it. Climbers, make sure to look up in the pavilion; they’re creatively using retired ropes in a cool way.
I give one star. I wouldn?t have tipped 15% if I knew the service coming after. I?m from out of state and to pay over $20 per person is typically worth good food and good service. We both ordered the pork chop plate and it?s supposed to come with roasted potatoes, toasted bread and corn. We didn?t get any potatoes because they ran out, over 2 hours before close. The pork chop was dry and the corn required special taste buds lol. I will say the toast is good. For breakfast. I don?t like that you order, pay and tip as soon as you get here. Then you sit down and they bring you the food and that?s the end of the service. As I stated for the price we paid for 2 plates , 2 drinks and 1 alcoholic beverage we should?ve at least had the option to pay the tip following the service . The posted picture is my cousins plate after eating.
Even on their small menu wednesdays there was a pretty solid selection of food and brews. I had the sausage burger with an egg added and it was everything you could possibly want in a breakfast sandwich (for lunch). All the seating was outdoors and right next to a running creek. This made for a very relaxed and nice atmosphere.
