Key Largo On Lake Shetek - Slayton

Great time at bingo! The food was tasty, but the place was quite busy, so the service could've been better.

The Boom Boom Shrimp was good on the bed of Coleslaw. Just the right amount of food.

I recently visited Key Largo for my daughter's wedding on July 31, 2009. Coming from Texas, I truly appreciated the delightful weather! The staff, from the indoor dining area to the outdoor bar, were outstanding. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the reception. Typically, buffets can be dry and overcooked, but that was not the case here—everything was fantastic! I highly recommend the entire facility. Just a word of caution: don't waste your money on the lodge next door; it's overpriced and the owners are quite rude.

Last weekend was a holiday, and Key Largo on Lake Shetek was the perfect spot for relaxation and fun with family and friends. We enjoyed the beautiful lake view while savoring great food on the patio. There's also an outdoor Tiki bar, offering easy access to cold beverages. While the staff wasn't overly friendly, the stunning scenery and interactions with other locals more than compensated for their somewhat indifferent attitudes. Key Largo is definitely a place I can't wait to visit again soon!
