Kenney Seafood Inc - Slidell

Kenny?s has the best and freshest seafood pools in Slidell! You have also attached a fresh seafood market to the other side of the restaurant! I've taken pictures of the beautiful building and shielding! Also included are pictures from the fresh seafood market with some of their spices! Love the shark with the human head in his mouth! Always good to have some humor!

It's difficult to find fault with seafood in this region, but some places truly excel, like this one. I tried the oysters and shrimp, and they were both huge and delicious. The shrimp were tasty, and the bread was outstanding. However, the oysters were the highlight; they were fried to perfection. The seafood gumbo is also worth trying, but make sure you arrive with a hearty appetite if you want to sample everything in one visit.

I’m not a local, so I wasn't familiar with Kenney's Seafood before. But let me just say, if you're looking for outstanding seafood with generous portions at fantastic prices, this is the place to go! Kenney’s absolutely exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent, and the service was fantastic! I definitely plan to visit Kenney's again the next time I'm in town. Even if you're not a seafood fan, there are plenty of other options available. Give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

When my number was called, I approached the counter to pick up my order, only to be handed a paper bag. That confused me, as I hadn't placed a to-go order; I intended to eat in the restaurant. When I pointed this out, a rude blonde girl rolled her eyes, snatched the bag away, and tossed it onto a table in the kitchen. It seemed they just dumped everything from the bag onto a plate before bringing it out to me. The dish looked nothing like the appetizing pictures on the menu; in fact, it was quite pitiful. The shrimp was cold and overcooked, the catfish portion was tiny, and my soft-shell crab looked unappetizing—definitely not what I expected. The Boudin balls were burnt! I should have trusted my instincts and asked for a refund, but I was so hungry and frustrated that I decided to nibble on my meager portion of fish and a few overcooked oysters and just leave it at that. As I tried to eat what I could salvage from this culinary disaster, the same rude girl started dragging metal chairs across the floor and making a general mess in the dining area. I can confidently say I will never return to this restaurant. The service was awful, and the food was even worse. I usually go to Pearls for their seafood plate, but I wanted to try Kenny’s because my sisters-in-law like it. Now I know for sure that Pearls is the better choice.

We had lunch there and the food was great.. We came back the next day and bought fresh shrimp to take home and cook. Very friendly staff.
