The restaurant lacks any accessibility features for individuals with disabilities. This seems like another way for the privileged to keep those who are less fortunate from entering.
I believe this place is somewhat of a gentrified tourist trap. It creates the impression of preparing fresh food to order because it resembles a nice deli kitchen, but in reality, they only serve pre-made sandwiches and similar items, which was quite disappointing. We once tried the "street" tacos when they had a food cart outside, and they just didn’t taste good. The single corn tortilla fell apart completely, and the fish had a strange, "fishy" flavor (you know what I mean!). The place would be much better if it were a genuine deli that catered to the local community.
Lastly, I was surprised by the price of a container of specialty ice cream from the city—$11 for less than a pint seemed quite high, especially since it's available for around $8 elsewhere. I do recognize that businesses need to make a profit, but it still felt excessive.
If you're okay with spending $30 on a meal that feels like it should only cost around $12, then this place is perfect for you.
