When we arrived, along with smaller tables, there were 2 tables of 9 people each. We caught tail end of breakfast rush at 9:15 and got out by 9:50. I had 1/2 order biscuits (one split biscuit and gravy. The man had a meal of 2 eggs and tenderloin (pork by default came with 2 sides (home fries and upgraded to grits and toast or biscuit. Not my usual style food, but all was fine. Super white creamy (sausage? gravy. Nothing was salty, highly flavored or spiced but tobasco or Louisiana hot sauce was available. Pineapple upside down cake for desert, others available too. They allow smoking. Though there were a few people smoking in the little place I wasn't noticible. They must have good ventilation. The customers are a mix of truckers and families. All in all, promptest ever friendly service with a smile and some food in the belly.
New name: Miss Betty's. Excellent diner food. The catfish was perfectly cooked. The country fried steak was perfectly seasoned. Clean, fast friendly service, very busy. Great fried apples; great potato salad.
I was looking for some home cooked vs. chain food. Seeking cheese eggs and hash browns, we stopped in. Staff is friendly and it's cozy. Reasonably priced. Food was decent, I prefer more flavor but understand and respect dietary considerations
Great place to relax and enjoy the comforts of Smiths Grove life! Nice people and atmosphere.
