The best catfish in Bastrop County! The oysters were fantastic, and the service was excellent with very friendly staff.

I've visited this restaurant several times, and each time, the staff is incredibly friendly and the food is consistently excellent. It's our favorite place to dine in Smithville, and I highly recommend it!

It truly breaks my heart to give this restaurant anything less than 5 stars. The food is fantastic, especially the pot roast, and the bread pudding is the best I've ever tasted. The owners are delightful, and the servers are always friendly. So, why only 3 stars? Unfortunately, the restaurant is rarely open. Even during regular hours, we've gone only to find it closed. The wait time for food is also incredibly long; during our last visit, we waited a full hour. They were overwhelmed but continued to take orders and seat new customers. While they were gracious and apologetic, it's just not acceptable. I genuinely want to keep returning for the delicious food and wonderful staff, but more often than not, I end up eating elsewhere after making the drive because they're closed, or I face an excessively long wait for dinner. Such a disappointment.

Hands down the best food in town, made with absolute LOVE, dedication, quality ingredients and always fresh!! They are a beautiful family business and pride themselves in being a scratch kitchen, so do not be upset if your food takes a little whileto be ready, especially if they've got a full dining room I suggest bringing a deck of cards or board game to pass the timeand actually interact with your family and friends instead of be stuck on your phone ?? So thankful for Your Mom's and thefriendships we've gained through coming here! ??

The heart breaks me less than 5 stars at this place. eating is great, especially the pot roast. the best brotpudding I ever had. people who own it are lovely, server always beautiful. Why 3 stars? it is rarely open, even during the regular hours when they say that they are open we? ve has only gone to find it closed and waiting for eating is exceptional. last time we literally waited an hour. they were supported, but repeatedly commanded and seated owners. they were apologetic and friendly, but wow, it's just not okay. I want to continue to go back to the wonderful food and the beautiful people, but more often than not I eat at the end somewhere else after the drive, because it is closed, or have an extraordinarily long wait for dinner.
