What a gem! We both had the house steak, which was the best I have had in years, complemented by a bottle of regional red wine. The steak was full of flavour, tender and cooked perfectly to our request, served with a tasty tortilla and spinach topped with a delicious sauce. The third picture is the dish that we had, be aware the portions are big. The staff were brilliant, very attentive and spoke excellent English, although this was not necessary. Highly recommended.
We were recommended to try this fabulous restaurant for lunch during our exploration of the Torres Vedras forts. We loved the ambience and brilliant staff. We tried the fabulous Beef Wellington alongside the Folgorosa Red wine. An unforgettable lunch experience.
Nice restaurant, with friendly staff. The menu is varied, with original (and prized) dishes, from unusual rice to exquisite beefs. The desserts, however, are not as good as the rest of the options. Paid about 20 euros per person for starters, main plate, dessert, wine,...More
Nice atmosphere, delicious Wellington beef served with asparagus. The staff was helpful and always available.
As is often the case, restaurants on one´s own doorstep tend to get forgotten about as ordinarily, those places to eat experienced on trips away tend to get reviewed. I had never really given this place a second glance, as it is on an upper floor of a building in an area of the town I never usually need to go to. I shall be visiting a bit more often now though, after dining here recently. The lunch was good, however, the some aspects of it were a little dry. The Gratin was a little dry but the steak and the rest of the meal was excellent. The one area which did disappoint is that the meal came out with too much of the sauce on it instead of it being in a separate container/jug/´gravy boat´. I like to see my food before it is covered in sauce - a personal preference but one, nonetheless I have, so next time I will ask for the sauce to come out separately. Something for your to bear in mind if you like to add the sauce according to your own taste and preference on quantity. All in all, a very pleasant weekend lunch and the best in the town so far hence I will be back.
