It is traditional Mexican cuisine with a decent kick, and a few things that do not have so that others can enjoy. The owner is always there during lunchtime to see that everyone gets good service, and everyone except chef speaks fluent Spanish and English.
I have the chili relano plate. The Chili's Batter was crisp and tasteful. The chili and the cheese wore the brownish taste of the red sauce well. I tried the green sauce on the side. It's hot. I liked the red sauce in the main dish and green sauce added to the heat level.
Great food and service. Make yourself a favor and order extra 1 or 2, or maybe 6 of the Sopapilla! Add the honey, just wonderful! Lunch, travel from Roswell, NM to Winslow, AZ.
I had the ground beef bags. The flesh was greassy, only enough to soften the bottom of the hard shell.
Classic new Mexican food; the green chili can be blazing hot. The restaurant interior is basic but serviceable. Check out their special board for daily changes.
