Someone (from the kitchen) finally acknowledged my presence after 10 minutes of silence and led me to a table. Then, an actual server showed and took my order, which was for the lunch special General Tso 's chicken with fried rice and a small cup of egg drop soup. Nothing impressed me. Certainly not the sterile food. Flavorless chicken—made more disappointing by paltry amount of meat hidden inside oversized flour casing. Unimaginative egg drop soup/mucus—ruined by too much cornstarch. Serving the meal piping hot wouldn 't matter much if its taste was a lost cause. That 'd precisely be how I described this place. A restaurant existing strictly as a means to an end. To keep up the owner 's flawed dream of having a passable mediocre Chinese restaurant in small-town USA.
