Almost all the food came at once soup, wings, salad, two entrees. The only thing missing wasmy 1 year old daughter's hot dog. That came out 10 minutes later. The dill wings were supposed to be extra crispy and theydefinitely were not. The flavor and blue cheese were good. The lobster Bisque had a pound of old bay seasoning on top. Reallyruined the flavor. The breaded fish fry was crispy and very good. The seafood pasta was delicious. When I expressed mydispleasure with our waitress, she offered to drop new wings and scoop off the seasoning. That was all the resolution wereceived. I would go back for a second chance if I'm in the area, but I'm not going to rush back.
Food was okay, I definitely got bagged chips rather than the house made ones stated on the menu. When we got our bill, the beer prices were ridiculous. My husband had four that were absolutely 12oz vs my two that were closer to 16oz and the bill cameout to $47 for just our drinks. Not quite worth it to me
We had to wait for our table to be cleaned, and although it was cleaned well, we had to do some wiping ourselves. We ordered wings, which were delicious. My husband ordered the Wayne Co. burger and he really enjoyed it. I ordered the beer-battered fish (loved that I could choose the batter) with fries and onion rings. The onion rings were the best I've ever had!
This riverside restaurant is a perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The food is incredible, especially the battered fish fry which was delicious. The bartender was also very friendly and nice.
We arrived at Captain Jacks in Sodus on a lovely day, August 7th, at 6:20pm. Sadly, we were met by a frustrated hostess who informed us that the kitchen would be closing early at 6:30pm. We were left wondering why this decision was made, especially considering the hot weather and the fact that it is August. It's difficult to make a profit if the restaurant isn't open, and having live entertainment with only alcohol available seems like a missed opportunity. It's puzzling that they would choose to close so early, especially with the sun setting in an hour. We would appreciate an explanation for this unusual decision.
