La Pergola Sogndal

We went here for a birthday diner for two. We got a nice spot. The food was great and plenty and the service was quick and friendly.

Quite literally my worst restaurant experience in many years. Noisy and cramped even though we did book a table in advance. Was not shown to table, only pointed in a general direction. Service was sooo slow, took 10-15 minutes just to put in a drinks order, and then another 10 minutes to actually get the drinks. Some menu items were unavailable. Serving size were small and server did not offer to add more pasta or bread, even when asked. We were not asked once before we finished if food was okay or drinks to be refilled. This restaurant has a service level worse than any fast food place. 0/10 would eat again.

Ordered two pizzas only to be told 5mins later that pizzas weren’t available . So ordered two pasta dishes . We were told in advance that one wasn’t available and then a short time later that the bolognese had run out. Eventually settled on a ham and chicken and Gorgonzola and beef pasta dishes . They took a while to arrive but both were ok . Strangely we saw a constant procession of pizzas served , but not in the part of the restaurant we were in. I suspect they had overstretched themselves. An explanation would have helped.

Good Italian food. the price not too expensive if you compare with the Norwegian price for the tourist area. The restaurant is on the second floor. The entrance is next to the building, you have to go up the stairs.

Small variety and very overtaking sausages.... Right treatment.
