Saravana Bhavan Sohar

Great variety of South Indian food. Right next to the highway. Very spacious. Many parking spaces are available. Saravana Bhavana Special thali was a treat of taste buds. Too much. Was not able to finish it. I loved the taste. 2 Riyals cost. Other South Indian stuff was also good. A must visit.

The staff is really friendly. They served me for 10 days and every day I could see their happy faces serve. Taste is good. I am not much value on Tamil cuisine, so I was not impressed, but taste was authentic. I had kothu paratha, which I could feel the authenticity of the taste in it.

This is a good restaurant with decent food, good ambience and friendly staff. Nice food, but the amount is a little less for the price.... However, it is an excellent place for lunch with the family. As usual, the place was milled with masses, but what was missing was the dead of the greed. Previously, the place would look much more spic and spanning. Proper family clients are still there, but domestic touch may have given a way of commercialization. Food is good, but cannot be called A1. Maybe more branches have made it look like it is now. Dosais high class, but I have better filtered coffee elsewhere and possibly fed in most other places. Wake up on Saravana and smell the coffee - you will probably realize that others are better. Although prices are slightly higher compared to others, quality, service and taste of the food they provide makes it negligible. A crowded hotel offering varieties in food.

Considering the place is located far away from southern India, they do better than other options in the city that serve South Indian cuisine. Pretty decent place, pretty decent prices, pretty good staff. One thing to note though, is that the sambar might not look or taste how you'd expect it to, even though it doesn't taste bad.

Nice food. We ordered south Indian thali . It's costly but it's worth . In sohar other places we don't get south Indian meals at night time. It contains many dishes ,some are good some average. Then we ordered idly and set dosa. Chutney are good. They gave podi for idly. Sambar is not up to the level ,they lost their authentic taste. Ambience is good.service is okay
