Sunlight Resturant مطعم و مقهى نور الشمس

Had been to this restaurant very long back while visiting Sohar for work. Got an opportunity to pass through Sohar and utilised this to check them out. Still an ok looking place with a lot of confined family rooms. The place has weathered with time and the interiors are not at its best. Tried their chicken biryani Indian... It was more of a traditional Arabic biryani with some added masala. The chicken was too deep fried and had lost its juices... The masala and the rice was tasty. However it was nowhere near it's past glory.

Restaurant if fine . But considering current situation they should be taking precautions like wearing mask and sanitising them. But we often use to see staff without mask and no proper sanitizer .

Weri bed food. Vegetarian don't go vegetarian pipal. Sarvis not good

Avoid! Ordered chicken curry, chapathi and mutton biryani. Smelly chicken in curry which was reheated in microwave. So called mutton biryani is rice served on microwaved frozen mutton curry. Worst food i had in 33 years in Oman. And after informing staff they were least bothered. Never going back again.

Visited 5 years back and then again visited recently thinking they improved but now won't visit for next 5 years
