The lettuce was incredibly tender and full of flavor, while the rich goat cheese balls provided a delightful sweet and tangy contrast with the honey. I ordered the seafood curry, and it was just as impressive. To top things off, we indulged in a strawberry basil poundcake drizzled with balsamic reduction, which was pure bliss. I truly appreciated the atmosphere, from the cozy train car seating to the charming lighting and attentive service. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Soldotna!
Absolutely delicious! We were disappointed to discover this place on our last day in town, but we're grateful we had the chance to enjoy it! The bison burger was fantastic, and the desserts were to die for—especially the lemon meringue, oh my! The menu is vegan and Paleo-friendly, making it very easy to accommodate various dietary preferences. The service was excellent all around! After hiking all day, we felt a bit underdressed when we walked in, but the staff was so accommodating and welcoming. Could we please get your dessert recipes? I've been dreaming about that lemon dessert ever since we left!
The food at this restaurant is outstanding! I really admire their straightforward menu. However, the hummus appetizer could use a bit more salt. The soup of the day, tomato bacon, was quite enjoyable. The poke appetizer was fantastic—I absolutely loved it! I ordered the ribeye, and it was cooked perfectly. I do wish the potatoes were a bit smoother, as there were some chunks in them, but they were still quite flavorful. The chocolate mousse was incredibly rich and delicious, and the dulce de leche cheesecake was good too!
We kicked off our meal with the Tuna Tots, which are adorable little rice balls resembling tater tots, generously topped with fresh tuna pieces. The accompanying sauce made for a perfect sharable appetizer—both tasty and refreshing. I chose the Salmon Noodle Bowl and later added Chili Crisp, which I had forgotten to include when ordering. I'm so glad I did! I initially thought of setting it on the side since my partner isn’t fond of too much heat, but I just picked around it for her bites. I devoured the entire bowl! I loved it so much that I’m tempted to go back just for that dish. My partner ordered the Crab Pasta, which was also quite good, but we couldn’t finish it. Halfway through, it started to feel a bit repetitive and could have used something to break up the flavor. Fortunately, my dish provided that contrast, but I couldn’t ignore the excess crab shell and the dish’s lack of excitement after a while. Our server was a bit new and didn’t have much knowledge about the menu, which was a little disappointing. We tried the Train Track mocktails, which were on the sour side, but we managed to finish them. We skipped dessert because we were stuffed, but we’ll definitely keep Addie Camp in mind for our next fishing trip in the area.
The ambiance was elegant, with first-class decor set in a vintage rail car. The service was excellent and came with a smile. Parking was convenient, located just off the Sterling Highway on a gentle hill, making both entry and exit easy. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! I can't wait to return!
