China Sea - Soldotna

This is the worst excuse for Chinese food I've ever ate! Their idea of egg drop soup is water with onions and zucchini! The food tasted days old. The people that work there are not very friendly at all! If you want Chinese in Alaska go to the one across the street from IGA in Kenai. The food is alot better.

Love their food, but certain employees are much more accommodating than Others. You can buy the buffet to go and when I go closer to closing time. The son of the owners (believe that's who it is) will actually ask what dishes they may be low on and they will whip out whatever u desire (granted its a dish from the buffet tables) to replenish the buffet for your to-go box. The blonde waitress did not do this so I was definitely a little disappointed about this. But the food I was able to get was still up-to par with what I've come to expect from this place. This is the only place on the Kenai Peninsula that I would even recommend to get your Chinese food from period.Wheelchair accessibility: An elevator is available to get up to the 2nd floor where this restaurant is located.

If you value your life please do not eat here. I was bloated before i even left the restaurant and i only ate a small plate of food. It was terrible in every sense of the word. I usually never review so terrible but I was so sick after just eating like a cup saucer of food that i could not function for 24 hours. I am not sure what caused it, hubby thinks too much msg i do not know. I just know it was tasteless and not worth 15 dollars a person. actually it was not worth one dollar a person. sorry guys but I am being honest.

My wife and I have eaten at the China Sea Restaurant many times. We always get the buffet, and the food is normally very good for Chinese food in Alaska. I will admit that the buffet is not always stocked to capacity, but given the population in this area, the food would get a little old just sitting there. It's nice to have fresh food brought out as the portions get less. Plus, how much food can you eat? No need to fill your plate, not eat everything, then have it thrown in the trash. The waitress is very kind and attentive. Prices are a little higher than we would like, but everything in town is sky high.
