Pizzeria Locanda - Solothurn

We went to lunch and decided to try this Italian restaurant. We took a table in the outside seating area, which was very pleasant and comfortable. The menu choices were mainly pizzas, but we chose the asparagus Ravioli and the Carpaccio, both delicious. The lady waiting for us was very friendly and helpful. A delicious lunch.

No real Italian cook should produce this kind of food. I ordered a green salad, pizza and pommes. The salad was literally about 4 leaves with a vinaiigrette. I couldn't pay $7.50 for this, so I asked her to return it. A whole salad costs 1.50CHF and you have the possibility to calculate 7.50 for 4 leaves? The pizza was not the usual Italian standard size. It was a little (as you can see from the pictures) and was quite wet. It cost 19.00 Chf. The pommes were a small part and the quality you would get from an avg kebab shop. I do not recommend getting the green salad at all! and just note the size of the pizza and that it is NOT Italian standard (I am Italian). I can't be for the other things on the menu, but the first impression holds and I won't return to Locando.

I went there with my parents this week and we liked it very much: delicious food (we ordered salads, pizzas, the black spaghettis with shrimps and coup danmark for desert, wonderful cozy environment (we were at the round table in the small "Erker" and excellent service. We look forward to going back there, thank you!

Die Pizza ist nicht so mein Fall, sie ist klein, aber dick und sehr ölig. Ich kenne bessere Pizzas. Der Service ist ziemlich angenehm.

Ich war mit Freunden zum Mittagessen. Der Ort ist schön gelegen, die Gartenstühle sind bequem, der Service etwas hektisch, aber freundlich. Die Pizza war sehr klein und ganz anders als anderswo, irgendwie eher wie ein Käsekuchen. Geschmacklich, bis auf den Teig, sehr gut.
