People there are friendly they greet you and are helpful

We're visiting in the area and stopped in to pick up a few items. The things we needed (a dozen eggs, milk and bread) were all on sale. The deli and fresh vegetables sections were all well stocked. Staff was friendly. Restroom was clean.

If you're in Solvang on the weekend and looking for Tri-tip, hit up Valley Fresh around noon. You'll get a classic, oak wood cooked Santa Maria style Tri-tip. You can ask them for more rare or medium–they might not have the exact temp you're looking for but I've been lucky more times than not. And you can ask them to slice it thinner or thicker. The mashed potatoes are often just like the homemade classic, simple and tasty.The fresh juices at the coffee and juice bar are customizable and really good.

Love the grocery store prepared amenities but it's getting to gouging to the wallet. Needs to cater more to the locals than tourists

Valley Fresh Market, previously known as Nielsen's, has undergone a refreshing transformation under new ownership and management. The meat department is stunning, and the deli section is impressive as well. The employees have been with the market for years and are truly wonderful.
