Contribuisci feedbackI had a great time dining at this restaurant the other night. It is a small and cozy place with a bar and an outside patio for warmer weather. I suggest making reservations to ensure you get a table. I ordered the Fish and Chips dinner and it was the best cod dinner I've ever had - the batter was crispy and tasty. My wife had the pork chop dinner and also enjoyed it. The soup of the day was delicious and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning with friends on our next visit.
After hearing that the Aft Cabin had been sold and was now known as Rum Runners, we decided to give it a try. We did not have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate us. If you plan on going there, it would be a good idea to make a reservation as it is a small place. I had a delicious burger that was piled high, and my wife had the pickerel which was also delicious. The drinks were cold and the service was very professional. We would definitely return, as it is a nice place.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by Elizabeth, who has been working there for three years. Her friendly smile instantly put us at ease and she explained the new menu, pointing out her favorite items. The menu featured a variety of original dishes created by the kitchen staff, including options like fish, beef, pasta, salads, and sandwiches. Each person at our table ordered something different and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, a rare occurrence for us. As it was getting dark and none of us had lights on our bikes, we skipped dessert this time. However, Elizabeth's enticing descriptions of the desserts made us reconsider our decision to brave the ride home in the dark. We left with plans to return in the future.
Understand that pricing makes it difficult to choose where to go. So I chose NOT to be dissuaded by those reviews. Sometimes you just get what you pay for and I was not disappointed. FRESH FRESH FRESH!! PerchCaesar saladand spectacular roasted veggies (asparagus and Brussels sprouts) Service by Cassidy exemplary. Make it a special night out for food not necessarily the atmosphere unless you can eat outside. Rainy night for us.
Waitresses are friendly , food is great but $90 for 3 meals , 5 beers and a tip . 1 pc fish n chips , 2 pc fish n chips and a burger with fries , along with 5 domestic beers . So I don't think it's imported food nor are the taxes that large to pay that kind of money for 3 meals .
