The little details is what sets this restaurant apart from the yummy treats they serve before your actual food arrives to the chocolate candies at the end and the amazing view … it’s a definite must visit. We will absolutely be back especially for the truffle butter rolls that are out of this world!
Unequivocally Orange County’s best steakhouse. The food is spectacular. The service is seriously the best of any restaurant I’ve been to. The Waldorf scored with this gem!
I’m vegan and normally steakhouses have an option on the menu or sides that cans be easily modified. They served me risotto with raw vegetables the first visit and told me to come back for a special knock your socks off meal. Which ended up being fennel water with some floating edamame and carrots with a roasted squash with seeds still all over it. They apologized and sent me home with al dente risotto that tasted like absolutely nothing. Terrible experience
Oh God every appetizer and meal were amazingly delicious. I just made a mistake that I ordered my steak well done and it was too much well done!
The food is good, no question, but there are no options for vegetarian mains. I get that it's a steakhouse, but any hotel restaurant should be prepared to not just accommodate common dietary restrictions but make it not feel like a huge hassle. I asked how large the sides are (my go-to at a steakhouse and usually pretty great) and was told they are shareable. The mac and cheese was tasty but quite small, not shareable. It was not a busy night and service was surprisingly slow even with a ton of staff. It took about an hour from being seated to get appetizers and salads. The space is nicely appointed and the views are lovely when the marine layer is light though. All in all, good option if you are at the Waldorf to linger over steak and wine, not great if you have a tighter time frame or are vegetarian.
