Somerset Food Bar

The staff at this restaurant is extremely welcoming, and the food is delicious. They also offer special dishes like steak and lobster, which are a treat! I love coming here for coffee, dessert, and meals. I have never had a bad experience - it's a fantastic place to dine.

A favourite stop for many local tradesmen, farmers and retirees. Often several waiting at the door for weekday opening at 7 a.m. Daily specials have good variety, good food, well presented, very attentive service from the wait staff. Newly renovated coffee shop area caters to...the traveler needing to recharge devices by USB ports or plug in at the booth. Special events such as Mother's Day Buffet attract hundreds. After a tour through the area we were looking for a supper spot. Thanks to reviews here we chose the Somerset Food Bar. We were not disappointed. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food was great. My wife ordered the vegetarian pizza which was perfect....My sister ordered a specialty burger which was juicy and tasty. I ordered the steak sandwich which I ordered medium rare. I know this is difficult on a thin cut but they managed it successfully. Our fries were fresh and non-greasy. Thanks for the great Manitoba small town supper.

We were looking for a lunch place on our way to visit family in Treherne and we hit the jackpot! After reading reviews, we decided to go through Somerset and try the Food Bar. We were really impressed. Our waitress was warm and personable....From talking with us about menu items, changing the channel to the British Open (golfer in the group), to quick and efficient service we were well taken care of. While their burgers are a popular item, we all ended up selecting their Signature Broasted Chicken. It was delicious. We were able to select between white/dark meat as well as the specific pieces we wanted. The chicken was moist and really well seasoned. We all had the order and it was plenty of food. It came with choice of potato, cole slaw, veggie, and choice of soup or salad. From talking with our relatives, we found that the Food Bar is a favorite with them, too.

Delicious food, super clean facility, fabulous owners and staff. I recommend if you are in the area, stop in and eat at this gem of a restaurant.
