I came from far to have a pastry … as a french i can tell you it’s the worst pastry i had… totally different from french pastries… i wanted to give a chance to that store but unfortunately it’s a very bad place…. On the website you can see lot of choice but in reality just 5 or 6 different pastries…. And the worst thing is how the girls traited me … i came with my spouse and son… the two girls inside give us them back… they don’t even tell us “hi”… tgey were very cold and unpolite… I’m really disappointed… I’m chocked…. It’s the worst place i have never seen in my life…
First time trying this place and I am so happy I went delicious pastries and French cookies! Customer services amazing
I've visited Davis Square numerous times and often passed by this bakery without realizing it existed. I only discovered it on Google Maps and it's a shame, because this bakery offers some outstanding French pastries. I had hoped for a wider selection, but what I did sample was excellent. The almond croissant was perfectly flaky and filled with ample almond paste, just as it should be. The residents of Somerville are fortunate to have such a fantastic croissant option nearby. I also tried a couple of macarons—pistachio and raspberry—and I approached them with some skepticism since many places do them poorly. However, these were absolutely delicious. They struck a great balance: not overly sweet, pleasantly chewy, and with an ideal ratio of cookie to filling, all while showcasing their true flavors without any artificial taste. After enjoying the two I brought home, I regretted not purchasing a whole dozen! In addition to what I've mentioned, they also offer French baguettes and small, beautifully decorated mousse cakes. The prices are on the higher side, but considering that these are intricate French pastries that require considerable skill and time to create, I think it's worth it. I can't wait to return, especially for more macarons!
Caramel is a standout gem in Salem. Everything I’ve tasted there has been incredible. Beyond the delicious pastries, macarons, and coffee, the staff is simply wonderful. On Christmas Eve 2021, I picked up a Yule log during a particularly tough day. The staff was incredibly kind and patient when I realized I had forgotten my order number, and I felt bad for making them search for my order. It’s a fantastic place with amazing people serving delightful treats!
What an adorable and delightful little shop! It's small but packed with tempting and attractive French pastries. I tried the Sofia, Opera, Les trois Chocolat, and the Lemon tart. I especially loved the lemon tart and the Sofia. I’ll definitely return to sample the other pastries on display!
