Taza Chocolate - Somerville

My husband and I love Taza chocolate. Visiting their factory store was a delightful experience, as we found so many unique varieties that we cannot find at home. We also enjoyed the free samples provided. Our favorite was the raspberry dark chocolate. If you haven't tried Taza yet, I highly recommend visiting their factory store or the Taza Bar soon. All of their chocolate is vegan.

I went on a tour last year with my mom and had a great time. The chocolate at this place is made in a Mexican style and has a slightly grainy texture, which some people enjoy and others do not (I happen to like it). All of their chocolates are dark chocolate and vegan. Additionally, their chocolate is ethically sourced, as they work closely with cacao farmers in Latin America to ensure sustainable farming practices and fair treatment of workers (unlike many big chocolate manufacturers who source cacao from regions like the Ivory Coast where child labor and slavery are issues). If you're a chocolate lover, you should definitely give it a try. They also offer unique flavors like ginger. Some of Veggie Galaxy's chocolate desserts use Taza chocolate. Keep in mind that while Taza only makes vegan chocolate, they may sell to companies that produce non-vegan candies (which may be available in their store), so it's important to check the ingredients before making a purchase.

I absolutely LOVE their chocolates. Have yet to try one that I didn't like. They offer a wide variety of flavors, all vegan soy free as far as I know, and made with simple, pure ingredients, which is exactly what I prefer. I also like their focus on fair trade and sustainability. Definitely come here and join the factory tour. You'll get to learn about their chocolate making process from start to finish, walk through the facilities, and the best part get to sample all kinds of chocolates! In the factory store there are a lot more products/flavors than you could ever find in other retail outlets. This is a must see for chocolate lovers!

The mandel and sea salt chocolate is delicious. I'm sure all their chocolates are probably amazing. it is also worth visiting the factory!
