Yu Cafe' And Hostel Songkhla

Fantastic hostel/café in the centre of the old town of Songkhla. Private floors were very comfortable. Shared toilet could get a little wet and they need larger sandals for adult men guests.

We stay in standard room with shared bathroom. The rooms are dusty. Toilet is clean. You hear people talk, go, go, go. But I want to come back. It's really nice hostel.

I spent two nights here and can testify to the comfort and convenience of this hostel. It is within walking distance of cafes and restaurants and museum. The rooms were modern and well designed in a renovated historic house. The owner, Khun Chao, was very helpful in consulting and is a pretty interesting man. The staff spoke excellent English and were well informed and very friendly. A special note is the Coffee Shop. We went to five coffee shops and Yu Cafe was the most beautiful and I appreciated the efforts of Barista to make my Piccolo Latte face with a cat foam art - in honor of the two cute cats that roam the hostel.

Cute hostel in the middle of Songkhla old town. Nice design and communal areas, but starting to show age with dust and cobwebs. Upstairs bathroom is a shower-toilet combo so is always wet; downstairs bathrooms are much nicer with good hot shower. Service was fine, but a little guide map of local highlights for food and sights would be useful.

We stayed 5 nights and would have stayed longer if not for commitments.... A great place to stay, it gets no more central than this, with good opportunities to meet people from Songkla: the very nice and helpful owner and his team, mostly consisting of students who study English and want to improve it here with the guests and 2 cute cats. All you need is available: washing machine, small library and a fully equipped kitchen. The crowning glory was that the owner allowed us to see a movie with his beamer. So cinema included! Thank you. Songkla? Again and again!
