I ordered the dessert taco and added grilled chicken and avocado, asking for the lettuce and tomato to be served on the side. When my dish arrived, it looked appetizing and seemed generous enough to share. However, to my dismay, it included pork along with the chicken. This is where things took a turn for the worse. Levi was taken aback that I didn’t realize Colorado Style Green Chili contained pork, almost incredulous about it. I told him that I bet 95% of the patrons wouldn't know either, as there was no mention of pork anywhere on the menu. Levi then turned the menu around to show me a separate dish that did include pork, but it was never specified in the title of the dish I ordered. The way the menu was written implied that ingredients like braised pork were part of a different offering, just like the tomatoes. After returning home, I checked old menus from the restaurant, Copper, and saw they once used to specify their Colorado Green Chili with Pork. The version on the menu that day did not clarify this at all. They should have added a note explaining what Colorado Style entails. I grew up in a border town, learned Spanish before English, and now spend a quarter of my time in Mexico, yet I still had no idea what Colorado Style meant. Despite this, Levi promised to bring over the manager to address the issue. We waited, but as time passed with no response, we finally decided to ask for the check. Levi remarked that the manager must have simply forgotten about us. In the end, we were left with nothing but frustration and ended up paying around $28 for our meal. To add insult to injury, they suggested I could order something else, as if I wouldn’t mind paying for another dish after this experience. On a positive note, prior to this situation escalating, Levi was pleasant enough. However, once he became adamant about the pork being clearly indicated, the service speed improved dramatically—quicker than our drinks being refilled.
I've been here a few times, and it's quite enjoyable! The food is generally good; we tried the fried pickle appetizer, which was delicious! I ordered the pulled pork tacos, and they were fantastic. My husband opted for a chicken salad, but he wasn't very impressed—it was just okay, in my opinion. It’s a bit disappointing that some menu items are only available during the week. However, I really love the atmosphere! They have a lovely field behind the restaurant where you can enjoy your meal, play games, relax, and have a drink. Everything is always very clean. The service is decent, but the staff isn’t the friendliest; they don’t seem mean, just a bit indifferent and ready to call it a day. Oh, and they only serve Pepsi products. Overall, we will keep coming back; it's a really fun place!
I've been meaning to come here for sometime. Well todays the day. It was really busy as everyone was stopping in from Patagonia art festival. I found a seat at the bar. Bartendress was cool entertaining. As I was driving I had a Arnold Palmer. It was lite refreshing. As I scanned the menu for the fish chips I wanted to try the side note popped up. only served Tuesday-Friday) . Ok lll look for wings, again the same issue. Evidently it jams up the line on the fryer. So I settled on the next best thing. Fried chicken salad with ranch. It was huge, had lots of veggies. The chicken came in one piece sliced on top. So good. Now for the negatives. The chicken wasn't seasoned. Ok no biggie. I asked for extra ranch. Who doesn't like more ranch? Btw they make their own. It's good! So I'm guessing it costs more to make as I was charged 1.50 for each extra dressing. That was kinda the buzzkill to the end of my meal. One suggestion. They need an Air Curtain. The flys are terrible as they come inside every time a door is opened. Plus it would benefit the ac to keep the hot air out. I'll most likely come during the week try the fish chips.
Burger is excellent, the sweet potato fries made the dish. We met the owners, who were very engaging. The service was very good, even at the bar.
