The wine was reasonably priced However, the ambiance of the winery was really took the cake. They served all of our family and we enjoyed our time here. Definitely worth the drive from the Bay area.
What a beautiful winery! Parking is a little far, but it’s a nice walk. Our host was very nice and informed when we did a wine tasting. All the wine we tasted was delicious and I’m picky. Very unique for being the oldest.
We were running late heading back to LA and decided to stop in for some quick photos of the historic buildings. Friendly folks greeted us at check-in and suggested a glass of wine in lieu of a full tasting given the time constraints. Great advice because we met a server named Cedar who showed us around as we enjoyed our glass and gave us the full, fascinating history of the winery. Cedar is a wonderful human being and a generous soul. He spent time with us as though we were VIPs. Buena Vista is lucky to have a brand ambassador who lives and breathes hospitality. Very grateful we decided to stop by and have a look because the short time we spent here with Cedar made the whole trip epic. Thanks Cedar!
Definitely my favorite winery we visited while in Sonoma! I would say this is a can 't miss winery if you 're coming to the area! Even though I haven 't been lucky enough to go to Italy, it feels like you 're on vacation in Italy and not in California. It is absolutely STUNNING.As you walk up the long driveway, they have a cute garden maze off to the side that you can go through and then maybe something a little more odd was up on the hill, they had cardboard cutouts of I 'm assuming people that had to do with the property. I believe it 's one of the oldest wineries in California or in the area so I think that 's why they have that.My sister pre-booked an experience for us, which I definitely recommend doing. We got to sit in a shaded area at a picnic table. The weather was perfect, but the ambiance made it even better. The wine glasses were already set up for us and our server was absolutely amazing. He made sure to continue to come over to us, educate us on the wine he was pouring, and was super knowledgeable. Seriously, it was such a beautiful experience. The wines were all delicious and we also were able to order a cheese and meat board, which of course we devoured. After we were done, we walked around and they have a beautiful garden, as well as big room where they keep the barrels. Our waiter mentioned it was usually for tours, but that we were able to go walk around in there. I wish I remembered his name. He was honestly amazing! So of course we did walk around and took SO many photos! Seriously I think we took the most amount of photos here because it was just so beautiful! Definitely what I imagined wine country area to look like.I would HIGHLY recommend this winery to anyone! Seriously so beautiful and the wines were so good. I would definitely come back here.
This vineyard is absolutely adorable! The barrel tasting and winery tour was facilitated by a man dressed in costume telling the story of the man who came from Hungary and started the vineyard. It was educational, fun, and we learned a lot about their wine making history!
